HookDoctor Pro ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you use the HookDoctor mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
To provide our AI-driven video analysis services, we collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: If you sign in via Google, we collect your name, email address, and unique User ID to manage your Pro status.
- Subscription Data: We process subscription status through Google Play Billing. We do not store credit card or payment details.
- User-Provided Content: Video files or transcripts that you explicitly upload for analysis.
2. Media & Files Permission
HookDoctor Pro requires access to your device's storage/media to analyze videos.
- Videos are accessed only when you manually select them.
- We do not scan your gallery in the background.
- Videos are used strictly for generating hook and retention reports.
3. Data Deletion & User Rights (Google Play Requirement)
We respect your right to control your data. Under Google Play’s Deletion Policy, we provide the following:
- In-App Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data by going to Settings > Delete Account within the app.
- Web-Based Deletion: If you have uninstalled the app, you can request data deletion via our website: https://hookdoctor.net/delete/hookdoctor_deleteaccount.html.
- Data Impact: Upon deletion, your Google ID, email, subscription records, and analysis history will be permanently wiped from our servers within 48-72 hours.
4. Data Retention
We do not store your video files permanently. Once the AI analysis is completed, temporary files are automatically purged from our cloud processing units. Your analysis reports are saved only to your account for your future reference until you choose to delete them.
5. Third-Party Processing
We use trusted AI processing partners (such as Google Gemini or OpenAI) to analyze video transcripts.
- Data sent to these services is anonymous and encrypted.
- We do not use your private content to train any public AI models.
6. Children’s Privacy
Our services are not directed at individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We implement industry-standard AES encryption and secure HTTPS protocols to protect your data during transmission and processing.
